At The Children’s Museum of the Brazos Valley (CMBV) our mission is to provide a child-centered, hands-on, interactive environment for learning and discovery. We know that in order to achieve this we must have a team of talented, passionate staff collaborating together to make this happen. Below are the positions we are currently hiring for.

Educational Program Assistant

The Educational Program Assistant will engage guests of all abilities – and their caregivers – fostering a safe and innovative environment based upon Museum Exhibits. Additional responsibilities include: professional curating experiences, creative positive customer relationships, maintaining, sanitizing and organizing exhibits, and operating the Welcome Desk.

Innovator

Each day at our Innovation Station, our Innovators lead an activity based on improving the experience of our patrons. These Innovators are expected to create an engaging, encouraging, and safe space for guests and their grownups to explore the wonders of STEAM. In addition to these responsibilities, Innovators help schedule, prepare, and execute activities for events, the independent table, and Innovation Station.

Event Representative

Our museum understands the importance of community participation and how simple events can create lasting memories. In an effort to better serve our community, we have created a BRAND NEW POSITION, the Event Representative! Our Event Representative will be responsible for coordinating all birthday parties, facilitating Discovery Days, and being the main point person during community hosted events. In addition to these responsibilities, the Events Representative will lead weekly Storytime and help coordinate any needed staff at events.
